How to Pay Your Sprint Cell Phone Bill? (10 Ways!)
You’ve probably heard that T-Mobile and Sprint have merged. While the move is being referred to as a merger, the reality is that Sprint is joining the T-Mobile family.
While this may mean improved access to 5G as a result of the two companies collaborating to build the best 5G network in the country, if you’re a current Sprint customer, you may have some questions about how to handle your bills.
Will the merger have an effect on how you pay your Sprint cell phone bill? Consider what you need to know about managing your Sprint account now that Sprint is a subsidiary of T-Mobile.

PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR SPRINT CUSTOMERS
While T-Mobile acquired Sprint in April of 2020, there has yet to be a full migration of bill payment over to a new platform for existing Sprint customers as of this writing. That means you should continue to pay your bill through the Sprint portal.
While it’s possible that T-Mobile will develop a new payment system in the future, it appears that they’re keeping payment “as is” to avoid confusing Sprint customers any more than necessary. Sprint does, in fact, provide a number of options for paying your bill.
The good news for anyone who likes to make quick payments is that most methods process your payment within minutes.
1. PAY ONLINE THROUGH MY SPRINT
Sprint still allows you to manually pay your bill online at Sprint.com. You can either pay your bill on the due date or schedule a future payment with this option.
To make a payment, all you need is an existing Sprint account that you can log into. Payments made online with your Sprint account are processed within 15 minutes.
2. ENROLL IN SPRINT AUTOPAY
Sprint offers an AutoPay program that ensures you never miss a payment again. Your AutoPay payments are processed on your due date once you’ve enrolled. When you enroll, you must provide a debit or credit card number, as well as information about your bank account where payments will be taken from each month for your automatic payment.
Remember that similar auto pay options exist for everything from credit cards to student loans. If you have a habit of forgetting to log in to pay bills online, it’s a great way to avoid late fees or dings on your credit report.
The only thing to remember any time you use auto pay is that you’ll need to update your Mastercard, Visa or any other credit card if it reaches its expiration date to avoid getting charges rejected.

3. PAY USING THE MY SPRINT MOBILE APP
If you want to get the most out of your data plan, the Sprint app allows you to pay your bill from your phone without having to log in with a name or password just to make a payment. Payments can be made via the app using features such as AutoPay and Apple Pay. All app-based payments are processed within 15 minutes.
4. PAY AT A SPRINT STORE
If you are unable to make a payment online using your preferred payment method, Sprint accepts in-person payments at its physical locations.
All in-person payments made at Sprint locations are processed within an hour. Just keep in mind that all Sprint stores are now branded as T-Mobile stores when searching for locations near you online.
5. USE AN EXPRESS PAYMENT
This somewhat obscure option is unlikely to be something you’ve heard of before. Sprint does, in fact, provide a “express payment” option that allows you to pay your bill online without creating an account. If you can’t remember your password and you’re in a hurry because your bill is due today, this might be a good option.
This option, however, is mostly used by people who want to pay someone else’s phone bill. With the Sprint express payment option, you can pay someone else’s Sprint bill using only their Sprint phone number or account number.
6. PAY BY PHONE
To pay your Sprint bill, simply use your Sprint phone. Rather than dialing a complicated phone number, simply dial * 3 from the phone associated with your account and follow the prompts to pay your bill.
This option is completely free as long as you use Sprint’s automated payment system. However, if you need to speak with a live representative to complete your payment, you will be charged a $10 support fee. Phone payments are completed in 15 minutes.
7. PAY BY MAIL
To pay your Sprint bill by mail, send your payment to the company along with a copy of your phone bill. If you received an envelope containing a paper bill, simply place your payment in that envelope to send it off. You can also print a copy of your current bill and mail it in with your own envelope.
Mailing a payment is the most time-consuming method of paying your Sprint bill. Payments received by mail are processed within seven calendar days. Keep in mind that the seven-day period begins when Sprint receives your payment in the mail. If you use regular mail, you must allow for a few extra days for shipping and handling prior to your due date to avoid making a late payment.
8. PAYING YOUR SPRINT BILL NOW THAT SPRINT HAS MERGED WITH T-MOBILE
For the time being, little has changed in the way Sprint customers must handle their cell phone bills.
You can continue to pay your bill online, by mail, over the phone, or any other method you’ve been using to make your payments on time each month. Just keep in mind that as the T-Mobile merger progresses, this may change.
9. PAY BY CHECK
Sprint can also be paid by check. If you receive your bill in the mail, there will be a free envelope provided by Sprint that you can use to mail your check. To avoid having to write down the address where your check will be sent, tear the bottom half of the first page of your bill.
If you don’t have a paper bill but want to pay by check, look up your most recent statement online and see what PO box they ask you to send it to. PO Box 4191 Carol Stream, IL 60197 and PO Box 54977 Los Angeles, CA 90054 are the most common Sprint PO boxes.
One, I believe, is for the East Coast and one, I believe, is for the West Coast. Check your bill to ensure that it is being sent to the correct PO box. To pay your bill by mail, make your check payable to Sprint. It takes a few days for mail to arrive, especially if you mail in the afternoon or on weekends. Mail the check at least ten days before the due date.
10. PAY BY QR CODE
You can also pay your Sprint bill by scanning the QR code. If you get your Sprint bills mailed to you, there will be a QR code on the bill that you can scan and pay with. These QR codes are only available on paper bills, not online bills.
Simply activate your phone’s camera and scan the QR code. You’ll be directed to a page where you can authorize the payment to Sprint using a credit card on file. It’s one of the simplest and least painful methods of payment.
