1. GET A PEACOCK TV SUBSCRIPTION

You’ll need to do this first online. To create an account with Peacock TV, go to their website. Options start at free (really!) and go up from there, so choose what works best for you. What if you don’t have a laptop or a phone? Don’t worry, you can sign up for a subscription later via your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick — we’ll get to that.

2. SEARCH FOR PEACOCK TV ON YOUR FIRE TV DEVICE

2. Restart Your Fire TV Device

Unplug your Fire TV device from the wall to restart it. Then, for 30 seconds, hold down the select button on your Fire TV stick remote while leaving your Fire TV stick device unplugged.

Then, reconnect your Fire TV device to the power source and turn it back on. When it returns to the home screen, select the Peacock app and check to see if it is now operational.

3. Test Your Internet Connection

Without an internet connection, the Peacock app cannot download the files it requires to function. As a result, if the Peacock app isn’t working, double-check that your internet is connected and running at a good speed.

To do so, connect a tablet, computer, or smartphone to the internet connection to which your Firestick is connected. Then open a web browser, such as Google Chrome or Safari, and go to Youtube.com. Then try watching a video.

If you can watch a video on YouTube while using the same internet connection, it’s a good sign that your internet is working properly. If not, you should contact your internet service provider and explain your slow internet speed. Typically, they will assist you in resolving the issue over the phone.

When your internet is back up and running, try opening the Peacock app again. If it is still not working, proceed to the next step.

4. Clear The Peacock App Cache

To clear the Peacock app cache, go to Settings and then Manage installed apps. After that, use your Fire TV stick remote to navigate to the Peacock app and press the menu button. The menu button is the one with three lines stacked on top of each other.

Additional options will be displayed. ‘Clear app cache‘ is one of them. Select that and wait for the cache to be cleared. After that, use the instructions in Step 1 to force stop the Peacock app, and then reopen it.

5. Uninstall Peacock And Reinstall It

The option to uninstall Peacock is located in the same location where you go to clear the cache in Step 4 above.

As a result, simply repeat the steps in Step 4, but instead of selecting clear cache in the final step, select uninstall. Allow Peacock to uninstall before reinstalling it by searching for it in the Apps menu.

FIRESTICK PEACOCK WON’T UPDATE

All of the apps on your Firestick can be set to automatically update. But what if it refuses to update?

As a general rule, restart the Peacock app, restart your Fire TV device, check your internet connection, clear the app cache, and reinstall the Peacock app if none of these work.
