Xfinity Remote Codes: Easy Complete Guide [XR11 Remote]

I fell in love with the Xfinity X1 interface and the platform’s streaming services. Setting it all up and programming the Remotes, on the other hand, was no easy task.

I had no idea what the remote codes meant or how to put it all together. I went online to figure out what the remote codes were, what they meant, and how to get it working.

I learned a lot about the other Xfinity Remotes along the way, and I decided to compile everything I learned into this one-stop reference guide.

When pairing your Xfinity Remote with your TV or audio device, you must enter Xfinity Remote Codes. It uses an infrared blaster to send commands to the TV. These instructions follow patterns identified by Remote Codes.

I’ve also included Remote Codes for older Xfinity Remotes such as the XR15, XR11, XR5, and XR2. I’ve also included a section on Factory Resetting your Xfinity Remote in case something goes wrong and you have to start over.

HOW TO PROGRAM THE XR16?

The XR16 is a voice remote that allows you to control your Xfinity Cable box with voice commands. So, point your Xfinity remote at the TV and press the voice button to pair it.

If nothing appears on the screen, proceed with the instructions below. The pairing procedure for the Xfinity Flex TV box and a TV or Audio Device is different.

TO PAIR YOUR XR16 REMOTE TO THE XFINITY FLEX TV BOX

1. Make sure your TV and remote are both turned on.
2. Select the correct input option for the Xfinity Flex TV box.
3. Point the remote at your television and press the voice button.
4. On-screen instructions will appear; follow them to enable voice control.
5. After pairing your remote with the box, follow the on-screen instructions to begin volume, power, and input control for your TV.

TO PAIR XR16 REMOTE TO A TV AND AUDIO DEVICE

1. Using the XR16 remote, you will be able to control the volume, power, and input control of your TV.
2. Say ‘Program Remote’ while pressing and grabbing the voice button on your remote.
3. If that doesn’t work, go to the Settings tab > Remote Settings > Voice Remote Pairing.
4. Follow the instructions on your TV screen to connect your TV and audio devices for power, volume, and input control.
5. Check that all of the buttons are functional by pressing various buttons such as volume, mute, power, and so on.

STILL DOESN’T WORK? CARRY OUT FACTORY RESET

1. Hold down the I and ‘home’ buttons on your remote together until the lights on the remote begin to blink.
2. To complete the factory reset, first press the ‘Power’ button, then the ‘- arrow’ button, and finally the volume down ‘-‘ button.
3. Now try pairing your remote with the TV again.

HOW TO PROGRAM THE XR15?

The XR15 voice remote is also a voice remote, but unlike the XR16 voice remote, it has more buttons that can do a variety of tasks.

TO PAIR XR15 REMOTE TO XFINITY X1 TV BOX

1. Check that your TV and TV Box are both turned on. Check to see if your remote is working properly and if it has the correct batteries installed.
2. Hold the Xfinity button and the info I button together for a few seconds.
3. Continue doing so until the red light on your remote turns green.
4. You will be prompted to enter a three-digit pairing code that will be displayed on your television screen.
5. Once the remote has been paired with your TV box, follow the on-screen instructions to configure your TV’s volume, power, and input control.

TO PAIR X15 REMOTE TO TV

1. Check that your TV is turned on and that your remote is in good working order.
2. For a few seconds, press and hold the ‘Xfinity’ and ‘info’ buttons together.
3. The red light on your remote will eventually turn green. That is your cue to move on to the next step.
4. Enter the five-digit code for that specific TV brand.
5. The following codes are available: 10178, 11178, 11637, 11756, 11530, 10442, 10017, 11314, and 12731. Because each TV manufacturer has a unique code, enter the code that corresponds to your TV.
6. If the entered code is valid, a green light will blink twice; if it is invalid, a red light will flash first, followed by a green light.
7. To test the remote, press various buttons on it, such as the power and volume buttons.
8. One method is to press the power button and wait for the TV to turn off.

TO PAIR XR15 REMOTE TO AN AV RECEIVER OR SOUNDBAR

1. The first step is to make certain that all of your devices are turned on.
2. Now, hold down the Xfinity and Mute buttons for a few seconds.

7. Now, to see if the device is paired, press the volume button and see if the volume changes depending on the command.

HOW TO FACTORY RESET XFINITY REMOTES?

If you still can’t pair your remote with your TV or audio device, resetting the Xfinity remote may help. Some remotes, such as the Xfinity XR2, XR5, and XR11, have a setup button, while others, such as the XR16 and XR15, do not.

If your remote includes a’setup’ button, press and hold it for a few seconds. In the case of the XR15, press and hold A and D on the remote.

To reset the remote, enter the code 9-8-1 when the light changes from red to green. If the Xfinity Remote flashes green then red, the set-top box is either turned off or out of range.
